Personas* are often over looked when new users come on to ChatGPT and are not well understood. Such was the case with NJS. Writing her second book, NJS was looking to create a consistent voice, character profile and signature style but did not know how.
She found herself writing lots of documents each time, each chapter, and she was also having to figure out how to use ChatGPT each time as well. Add it all up and too much time was being lost with overlapping work and unfocused effort.
Step-in Promptline Studio (PLS) to deliver cost effective products and solutions. Here is what we did for NJS.
The first thing we did was to introduce NJS to personas, what they are and how to use them. We trained her on identifying real people to build her persona around. We had to dig deep to have her make a choice that fulfilled the character and vision she pictured in her mind.
Next, we worked together and authored several source documents to guide ChatGPT and supplement the custom prompts were using.
Lastly, we introduced NJS to the idea that building an effective persona with/for ChatGPT is more like a conversation rather than executing command line entries.
